How does bid writing support work?
If you have a bid team, our bid writer(s) will work as temporary members of that team. This includes attending and contributing to any bid team workshops and meetings. They can be based at your offices or they can work remotely. If you don’t have a bid team, Healthcare Bids can write the whole tender. Either way, HealthcareBids can assist in any or all of the following bid writing activities described below.
Planning and project management
When the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents are published, we will review and modify the pre-bid actions to ensure the outline project plan accurately reflects the process and timescales. We will also organise a ‘kick-off’ meeting with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure everyone is fully briefed and prepared to make a prompt and effective start.
Bid writing
Our team will use material developed for each workstream during the bid preparation phase, where this has taken place, or they will hold detailed discussions with the subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand your organisation’s approach to each question. We will then draft responses for the questions allocated to our team, using evidence to provide meaningful examples to support each response.
We can write the response to any question and can also help to develop diagrams and tables such as organisation charts and mobilisation Gantt charts to support workforce and mobilisation tender responses.
We will also coordinate responses being developed by partners or SMEs to ensure they are delivered on time and in line with the agreed strategy and service delivery model. Our Directors will undertake a ‘critical friend’ review and provide feedback and guidance on any elements omitted.
A first series of draft responses will then be submitted to the client review team. Following review, we will create a second and final draft for approval.

Once we know the format of the tender presentation, we will work with your presenting team to make sure they are fully prepared. As a result, your team will know precisely how best to highlight the strengths of your bid and how to handle the most probing questions.
